Experience

Reynolds & Reynolds - Software Development Intern

During my time as an intern, I developed and delivered 7 accounting system screens. These screens implemented CRUD operations with concurrency logic to properly handle client records, ensuring reliable and accurate data handling. I modernized legacy interfaces by easing data entry and improving usability for internal financial systems. During this time, I had quickly learned COBOL and adapted to proprietary company standards while improving my code quality and reducing review cycles over the course of the internship.

Projects

Chess

This project is a fully functioning chess engine which uses an 8x8 matrix to track the board's state. The playable opponent uses a minimax algorithm with adjustable difficulty. Alpha-Beta pruning is used to improve the algorithm's performance.

Piston Simulation

This project is a physics based simulation of a piston that was built in C++ using Raylib. The physics uses Verlet Integration to ensure an accurate and stable simulation. The user can adjust the throttle position to increase or decrease the piston's speed.

POS System

This project is a functional POS system that was developed in an agile environment with a group of 5. The frontend was developed using React.js while the backend used Node.js/Express and PostgreSQL. The application handles real-time order processing, user authentication, and store management features.

Who am I?

My name is Camryn Graham, and I'm a junior at Texas A&M University studying Computer Science. I am passionate about full-stack development. I started with frontend work and wanted to understand how the backend securely and accurately handles user requests, which led me down the path of building complete applications from end to end. Outside of coding, I enjoy gaming, cars, singing, and skiing.

What am I up to?

I'm currently working on polishing my existing projects and as well as developing an interactive learning game with a custom physics engine. I'm also expanding my web development skills by learning TypeScript and Next.js. I'm particularly interested learning more about the cloud and how to deploy secure applications.

How do I approach challenges?

I believe in getting a fundamental understanding of technologies before diving in, rather than rushing to implementation. Through my internship at Reynolds & Reynolds, I've strenghtened my debugging skills, my ability to write production-ready code that meets specifications, and also learned COBOL and maintaining legacy systems. I enjoy both independent work and collaborating as a team.

What am I looking for?

I'm seeking a software development internship for Summer 2026 where I can contribute to meaningful projects and continue learning from experienced engineers.
